In the 1920′s and 1930′s the estate was rented out to the O’Briens, noted equestrians who breed of Alsatians and foxhounds. Some are buried in the woodland at the rear of the house.

The sunken garden to the south of the old stable yard was probably laid out in the hole left by brick-making during alterations to the old house. 
Old Court House, built at the top of Pinner’s Hill around 1910. The Hammond’s lived here when the estate was rented out during the 1920’s and 30’s.
